New to the ancillaries range: thermal insulation proEnergyTec extension profiles
In response to growing energy efficiency requirements, the profine Group has developed a new line of proEnergyTec extension profiles for its KBE, Kömmerling, and Trocal brand ancillaries.
In response to growing energy efficiency requirements, the profine Group has developed a new line of proEnergyTec extension profiles for its KBE, Kömmerling, and Trocal brand ancillaries.
These prefoamed extension profiles are an excellent solution for eliminating thermal bridges and are perfectly ideal as window extensions, for bridging lintels and columns, as installation supplements, for roller shutter boxes, and for installing stable, ground level windows, doors, and lift/sliding doors on concrete plinths.
The material absorbs virtually no water at all and is completely rotproof. The special insert in the polystyrene core exhibits excellent screw retention properties and lends the whole element a high level of stability. The white outer coat is 2 mm thick and made of heavy duty synthetics.
The proEnergyTec extension profiles have been developed specifically for the profine profile systems with 76 mm and 88 mm installation depths and for the lift/sliding door system PremiDoor 88. Their contours have been precisely milled to the connecting areas on their mating profile systems, and their screwing inserts aligned to these systems’ screw ducts.
The extension profiles are now available in three different widths.
Their insulation values are 0.443 W/(m2K) for System 76 and 0.374 W/(m2K) for the 88 mm installation depth. For the PremiDoor 88 lift/sliding door the insulation value is 0.146 W/(m2K).
profine offers in addition a prefabricated, easy to use special adhesive tape that suppresses potential thermal bridges at the connection between the extension and the frame back as well.
